HELP US HELP OTHERS -
Furniture Bank will be entering our 12th year serving the chronically homeless, our Veterans, Domestic Violence Survivors, mentally and physically challenged, single parents, and the addicted who have made the decision and taken action to escape homelessness and helplessness.
This is God’s program and not ours.
We are merely His stewards doing His work. We have now served and assisted over 1800 clients in the greater Phoenix area since we began in 2012.
When you consider that each client represents a family served, we have helped over 8,000 people with furniture and furnishings.
We love being in the HAND UP business and NOT the HANDOUT game!

One of our partner agencies contacted us to help Julie. She is a middle aged woman who relocated to Phoenix from the Midwest to escape a chronic domestic violence situation and receive help, skills, training, and support to break the cycle to gain her independence. We were blessed to help her feel confident and accomplished by suppling furniture and furnishings to turn her first house she has ever had on her own into a home.
Debbie is a grandmother who stepped up to provide a home for her 2 grandsons. Our partner agency contacted us to help with new beds, bedroom furniture, and other furnishings to help make their new home a place to be proud of as they begin a more stable life with grandma. Due to privacy and confidentiality issues, we are never given many details with respect to the “why” of the situation. It’s our experience that when CPS is involved the parents are either incarcerated, absent, or otherwise unable to provide the healthy and safe environment that all children deserve and need. Furniture Bank was blessed to have the funds available to provide the needed beds and other necessities to help in this situation.
Steve is a single dad who needed our help with his situation. Our referring agency worked to find him a house and reunite the children. Because of privacy reasons, we don’t know the why, but mom left the house and their 4 children. Steve needed help to furnish his home for his 4 kids and his mother who was moving in to help. We were blessed to be able to provide beds for all 6 including bunkbeds for the 2 boys in grade school, twin beds for the junior high and high school aged kids, and lager beds for the adults. In addition, we were able to provide a dining room set for 6, a sofa, love seat, other living room furnishings, and complete bedding and bedroom furnishings to satisfy the standards so CPS could allow the family to reunite. It is truly God’s hand in these matters that keeps the families together and enables us to continually have the exact needs of the families when they need them!
Sherry was referred to us through another of our partner agencies. During her time in prison, she completed her educational needs, and gained job skills to start a new career. Our partner agency found her a safe home for her and her 3 children. We worked with the agency to make sure the children and Sherry had beds, bedroom furniture, as well as living room and dining room furniture. Because of the ‘Break the Bank’ donation drive hosted by Elena Porter and her I AM 360 organization we were able to completely furnish her kitchen with cooking items as well as needed plates, utensils, dishes and cups. We were even able to honor requests for a TV and a student desk and a printer for their computer, so the kids could do their homework!
